June 2026 Release Note | Uploads

Description

Uploads is a new bulk update workflow available on the Locations tab. Customers can download a pre-populated XLSX Location Data File, make updates in Excel or Google Sheets, and upload the completed file back to the GovDocs Dashboard. The system reviews the file before any changes are saved, and customers must confirm their submission before data is written to their account.

This is net-new functionality. No existing workflows have been changed or removed.

User impact

All customers across Minimum Wage, Paid Leave, and Postings product types can use Uploads. The fields available for update vary by product:

Notes / Limitations

  • Accepted file format is XLSX only. CSV, XLS, and other formats will be rejected.
  • Uploads is for updating existing locations only. New locations cannot be added via this workflow.
  • The following fields cannot be edited in the template: External ID, Display Name, Jurisdiction, Jurisdiction Type. These columns are locked and used for reference and row matching only.
  • The data file reflects the customer's location details at the time of download, including any filters or search criteria applied at that moment.
  • If review errors are found after upload, the submission is rejected in full. The customer must correct the flagged rows and re-upload.
  • Once a submission is confirmed, changes are applied immediately and cannot be undone through the platform. Corrections require a new upload.
  • Tipped Rate fields appear only for product types where they are applicable.
